Colossians 1:15-17
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or authorities or dominions or rulers - all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things and in him all things hold together.

Today we humbly witnessed how God is above, before, and in all things.

The evidence of how Gods own love is reflected in his creation could not have been more obvious than in the joy flowing from the young children at Lima Academy. A true reflection of the purity of Gods love. Who knew that children I have never met and may never see again (living in circumstances far from any I've encountered in my lifetime) could pour out such pure perfect innocent love and that my heart would be crushed and my soul cry out in surrender like I have never known before. Even now I search for a means to process the experience.

God still answers prayer. The Lima academy has had several broken computers for some time. This has robbed the children of the opportunity to access the internet (which they need for school and cannot otherwise afford or access). They have been praying for someone to repair their computers. We happen to have IT professional on our team. Neither did they know we had the ability nor did we know they had the need, BUT GOD did!! Now there are five working computers for the children to use! Praise God!!

As if that wasn't enough, we then witnessed a five year old girl execute a gesture of generosity and sacrifice rare this side of heaven as she received two gifts and immediately, without hesitation, gave one to her seven year old sibling. Afterward her prayer requests were for God to heal her mom and find her dad a job. Five years old. Not a ounce of self concern or focus.

God's power, presence and love fill the streets, homes, and people of La Limonada. In a place where the casual passer by might believe nothing more than destruction and suffering could possibly exist. God is greater than any circumstance. God is more powerful than any assault by his enemy. God's light is brighter than the darkest night. Again, God is above, before and in all things.

As we continue on our journey this week, please pray that God continue to reveal the layers of his purposes for each of us here in La Limonada.

With Love
-Chris
