Dear friends and family,
I am thrilled to share with you a trip that I am going to take that will be a life changing experience for the people I come in contact with, as well as myself. For several years I have prayed about and expressed a desire to serve in this capacity. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on this challenging ministry opportunity God has presented to me with 11 other men that I attend church with at Forest Hill Church in Charlotte.
During September 8-16, 2017, I will be going to Santa Marta, Colombia with 11 other men from my exercise group called F3, which stands for Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith(F3nation.com). Our definitive schedule is still being planned as I write this letter. We know that we will be serving in the La Guajira Peninsula to support the work of the Wayuu pastoral training center and the Wayuu church association. Our time there will be spent in small construction projects as well as spending dedicated time with the Wayuu families and men in their communities. My desire is to fellowship, worship together, and strive to build God’s Kingdom which crosses all cultures and ethnic boundaries.
We will focus on working along a needy church to help them both spiritually and materially. If we can help strengthen and encourage the church then it will be better equipped to carry on the Gospel when we leave.
I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish. As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. In order to go on this mission trip, I need to raise $2000 by August 29, 2017. If you can support me in a financial way, I would be very grateful.
