Forest Hill has been in relationship with a small village in the bush in Senegal West Africa for the past 8 years. In 2009 when the first team went to the village to meet the village elders, there was 1 family professing faith in Jesus in a village of 1500 Muslims. Thanks to God's hand we have been able to see clean water brought to the village which has helped not only with illness but also allowed kids to go to school and crops to be watered and even a community garden exists! We have also been a part of annual medical clinics held in this village and others nearby. Amazingly, Forest Hill has also funded and helped build a church for the 45 adult professing Christians and now, the over 100 children who attend the church with the blessing of their families.
Over the years many Forest Hillers have ministered to and loved the people of this village, but now it is time to support the vision of our partner in Senegal and launch this village and this tiny church that is making a big difference in the region.
So first of all - this will be Forest Hill's last official trip to Senegal and we want to say goodbye properly and celebrate the church in this village and what God is doing there so If you have been on a trip to Senegal in the past, this will be your chance to say goodbye.
Also, this trip will be centered around a medical clinic but we hope there will be plenty of time for those who wish to reconnect with their namesakes in the village as well.
Please note this is a shorter trip than the usual medical clinic trips - the dates are loosely May 24- May 31
So excited to see what God will do in us and through us as we serve through the medical clinic and love the people in this village.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- Must have a valid passport that does not expire before December 1, 2017
Preparation
- Apply for the trip and pay the non-refundable $110 deposit
- Fill out the paperwork under the Forms tab
- Create personalized trip page
- Check the CDC website for updated information on recommended immunizations http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/
- Commit to attending 6-8 team meetings, including the debrief meeting after the trip returns
- Participate in at least 1 local serve project with your team
- Make sure 100% of all trip fees are submitted 10 days prior to departure
