Fort Mill - Colombia July 2016
This team will serve alongside South America Mission and travel to Uribia, which is in the Guajira desert of northern Colombia. The Guajira is home to the Wayuu people. The team will focus on construction needed to sustain the ministry of a pastoral training center to the Wayuu people. They will also be engaged in dialogue with Wayuu leaders regarding community development projects, namely agriculture and water, for the Wayuu community.
The lodging for this trip will be rustic, the desert environment can be harsh during the days, and the team will be primarily sleeping in hammocks, with bucket water for bathing (verses running water). You do not need any special construction skills, just a willing heart and a desire to serve.
