Hi Everyone!
It was on my 2016 goal/bucket list to go on a mission trip. It has weighed heavy on my heart for some time now. I want to serve more. I want to volunteer. I want to help where there is a need. I had tossed the idea around of going on a mission trip last year and the year before that...and the year before that...and well...you get the picture. I've never been more ready than I am right now and I know that the time is FINALLY right. I have been blessed with this opportunity to join a team from Forest Hill Church (where I have called home for the past 18 years). We will be headed to Haiti from October 22nd - October 29th. This is where God is calling me. I truly believe that. Icing on the cake? My birthday is October 30th. I could not think of a BETTER way to spend my 30th birthday than by serving others!
That all being said, the trip is not cheap. This is our lemonade stand. If you are interested AT ALL in helping out it would be very much appreciated. Every little bit counts and even if you can't help financially, we would appreciate it if you would send to anyone and everyone you know. Your support means everything. Supporting us does not only mean financially. If you'll PRAY FOR US and spread the word by sharing this link, we would be extremely grateful. We are so beyond excited to see what God has in store for us and we are ready to be placed where we are needed! Also, I wanted to make sure I added this in here: As FULFILLING as this trip will be for each and every member of our team, we at Forest Hill believe that we are saved by grace through FAITH, NOT by works, but that we are called to serve others as Christ did.
Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
