In less than 24 hours I will be en route to Haiti with an amazing group of people from Forest Hill. I keep a calendar with a daily bible verse or inspirational quote on my desk at work and today when I switched it over the October 21 it read, "Loving the Lord your God and your neighbor as yourself was and is the very thing God has always wanted us to do-it's a perfect picture of the perfectly balanced life." This could not have been more fitting for today. I know that God is already working in my heart and preparing me to be able to love all of the people in Haiti and show His love.
I have been praying for each individual of the team as well as the people of Haiti. I have also been praying that God keep my heart and mind open and already feeling Him at work is pretty powerful.
Please keep our team in your thoughts and prayers as we travel into Haiti not knowing exactly what the conditions will be after having been devastated by Hurricane Matthew. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason and in His time so this trip is happening exactly when it is supposed to and with exactly the group that is supposed to be together.
