A job well done

10 years ago Forest Hill Church started a relationship with a tiny village in the bush of Senegal. There was 1 Christian man in the village - they called him the man of peace. The village elders met with some men from Forest Hill and were asked "how can we pray for you?" the Muslim elders responded, "we need access to fresh water, we need access to medical care and we think our brother should have a place to worship his God"
Now 10 years later, our team got to see God's faithful hand - providing all three requests. Those same Muslim elders visited our church service and gave testimony about how the water has given life to their village- the crops, the animals and the people. They thanked us for all the medical clinics Forest Hill has provided and they told us of God's hand blessing their village. As we looked around at the 40+ Christian adults and heard of God healing the daughter of the villages Cleric, we know God has lavished us through being a part of His incredible story. Later in the day we watched as young men lead afternoon VBS for over 200 children and thought - these men were boys the first time we came- we have watched them grow up...and these 200 children are the future of the Christian church in this village.
