Our first full day on the ground has been amazing! Our team got an early start to unpack and set up all of our dental equipment in a local church! We were able to see a total of 32 kids today and treat a variety of dental issues. We also had the blessing of having help from 2 local dental students who were able to translate for us and assist with procedures! While part of the team were running the dental clinic, another part of our team did house visits in the community of La Limonada with a community nurse. Janetta, the nurse, goes house to house everyday taking care of the elderly in the community or anyone that is sick. She's a combination of nurse, doctor, pharmacist, and social worker! It was humbling to watch her care for her community and do what she can to change the world.
